The Grand Canyon Centennial Protection Act (H.R. 1373) would make permanent the current 20-year ban on uranium mining for just over one million acres of federal land neighboring Grand Canyon National Park. This action will protect one of our most awe-inspiring landscapes, its watershed and the water resources vital to the Havasupai people, from the impacts of uranium mining. A vote in favor of the measure is the pro-parks vote.
